The problem

A plastic crisis we can’t ignore.

Most toothpaste tubes are made of mixed plastic layers that are nearly impossible to recycle, so they end up in landfills, and too much plastic ends up in the ocean.

Every year
8million tons

of plastic enter the ocean.
If nothing changes
2050

There could be more plastic than fish in the ocean, by weight.

Our approach

No trade-offs.

You shouldn’t have to choose between a toothpaste that works and one that doesn’t trash the planet. So we made one that does both.

Sustainability

How we’re taking plastic out of oral care.

From the products themselves down to the box they ship in, here’s what plastic-free means at Huppy.

01Single-use plastic

Rethinking oral care’s plastic problem.

Most toothpaste comes in tubes made of layered plastic and aluminum that are nearly impossible to recycle, so they end up in landfills. We’re replacing every step of your routine with a plastic-free alternative.

Toothpaste tablets instead of plastic tubes
Mouthwash tablets instead of plastic bottles
Plant-based floss instead of nylon
Bamboo toothbrushes and steel tongue cleaners instead of plastic ones

02Refillable by design

Buy the tin once. Refill it for years.

Huppy is built around refills, not repurchases. You keep the container, and we send what goes inside it.

Recyclable tins with an industrially compostable PLA liner
Refill pouches restock the tin you already own
Refillable floss: a reusable glass jar with plant-based refill spools
Subscribe and refills arrive before you run out

03Compostable pouches

Made to break down at home.

Our refill pouches are made to be home compostable. They break down in a backyard compost bin, with no industrial facility needed.

Home compostable certification with the ABA (Australasian Bioplastics Association) and DIN CERTCO coming soon
Bulk bags for refill shops, so stores can sell Huppy without single-use packaging
